Teams are organized by age group and skill level. Seasons for each age group run from August 1st to July 31st. A player's eligibility age is generally determined by their age on April 30th of the current season. For example, on August 1, 2024 when the new season starts, a player wanting to play 9u cannot turn 10 before May 1st, 2025. Players with strong skills may be considered for playing up in older age groups. During the summer months as teams are looking to move up in age group on August 1st, they are often referred to as "Rising" and the age group they are moving to. Skill levels are indicated by D1, D2, or D3 where D1 teams are highly skilled players and D3 teams are players still working on developing skills. For players new to travel baseball, D3 is likely the correct level for them to get started and the Generals are a great organization to help develop them as players.
